As one of the countries of the IUCN Asia Region, IUCN Bangladesh (IUCNB) assists government at national and local levels, civil society organisations, private sector and other stakeholders in promoting conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and overall sustainable development in the country.
Our programme is expanding into new areas and we are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Country Representative having a proactive approach. This is a Senior Management position currently reporting to the Regional Director on programmatic, management and representational matters. The Country Representative for IUCN Bangladesh will have the overall responsibility for the IUCN in-country programme and will represent IUCN in Bangladesh, working with our members and partners as well as with the international community. The position holder will be part of the senior management team with a responsibility to help build a strong organizational unit that adds value to the management of the Asia Region and will help in establishing IUCN’s presence in contiguous countries as and when deemed appropriate.
