The 2010 ILTER CC meeting will take place in Israel, hosted by our colleagues at Israel LTER. The venue for the meeting is the Jacob Blaustein Institute for Desert Research, situated on the Sede Boqer campus of Ben-Gurion University, 50 km south of Beer Sheva.
Outline timetable:
- Aug 25- Aug 29: Pre-meeting tours (optional): Jerusalem and the Dead Sea
- Aug 30- Aug 31: ILTER Science meeting: Sede Boqer campus
- Sept 1: ILTER Regional and Sub-committee meetings
- Sept 2 - Sept 3: ILTER Business Meeting: Sede Boqer campus
- Sept 3 - Sept 5: Post–meeting hike in desert area (optional)

Programme

Registration and fees
Early registration for the meeting, as well as for the pre- and post-meeting activities shall be conducted online from January 15 till March 31 at reduced rates. There is an 'early birds' registration Fee of 500$, if you register by 31 March. After this, the fee will be 600$.
A number of pre- and post-meeting tours will be offered, subject to numbers. There will be additional charges for these. Details are given in the attached file (see 'related content' below).
Call for papers
We invite offers of papers for the ILTER Symposium on August 31- September 1, 2010. This year we are looking for papers on 'large scale ecology'. This includes science conducted at LTER sites over a long period of time, or network research. We will also have two poster sessions: one on research and one describing LTER networks or LTER sites. Please send short abstracts (not more than 200 words) to Manuel Mass (science committee) with a copy to Noa Angel. Deadline: 31 March.
