Education activities
ILTER partners undertake a wide range of education activities
ILTER is an international network of partners, and many of these carry out education activities related to long-term environmental research. They include looking at forest ecology and management (e.g. in Australia, Czech Republic, Japan), sustainable use of natural and cultural heritage (e.g. in Slovakia), arid ecology (e.g. in Namibia), urban ecology (e.g. in the USA) and oceans (e.g. in Venezuela). In 2011 we asked ILTER members about their educational activities; the results of this survey demonstrate the range of activities taking place (which are aimed at many different audience groups). ILTER intends to encourage its partners to share experiences and good practice, so that we can develop new programmes and improve existing ones.
